WHERE HAVE WE BEEN
Phoenix, AZ
We are so excited to share with you all that after 9 years of unexplained infertility, baby Haar is making his arrival July 11, 2024.
When we started RVing in 2022, we had found peace in the decision to stop infertility treatment and just to enjoy the gift of our own lives. The layers of richness that entered from this journey have been insurmountable. From seeing beautiful places to being present with loved ones, we would make the choice over again and again. In some ways, we expected that richness…we did not expect a baby!
That being said, we are thrilled for this new chapter of life. A chapter that we thought was closed to us is now suddenly opened. A womb that has had “nothing” in it throughout 12 years of our marriage, now has a baby boy—moving and kicking away.
The tears, the desperate prayers, the doctor appointments have not been forgotten. The desire for this child has not been forgotten…but the wonder and hope of this gift has only grown with the growing belly. Thank you to all who have prayed for our little miracle and supported us in our journey. It has been our greatest joy to share the good news and celebrate this gift with all of you.
Albuquerque Ballon Fiesta
This is a huge bucket list item for us. Check back soon for updates and follow our instagram stories for live updates.
Coeur d'Alene, ID
A quick overnight stop at a harvest host. We went into town to grab dinner and explore the marina. It was a beautiful evening and we wish we could have been there longer but we had to stick to our travel schedule.
Glacier National Park
Driving through Glacier National Park felt like we were in a different world. There were so many moments where we wold look at each other and say “I feel like we’re in a fairy tale.” About 20 minutes outside of the park and right along the Flathead River, we found a great spot to camp. Every day we would take Chester down to the river to swim in the clean and refreshing water. One of our favorite things about this area is how blue/clear the lakes and rivers are with lots of colorful pebbles. Highlights of our time here included white water rafting, the Avalanche Lake trail, and driving along the Going-to-the-sun Road.
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone is a huge park with so many different facets that were so fun to see. Seeing Old Faithful erupt and the visiting the multicolored hot springs was awesome. We discovered that we love searching for wildlife and were constantly on the lookout as we drove through the park. We saw lots of bison, an elk with its antlers, and a black bear running from a clearly into the trees (definitely a highlight). Carolyn took time off of work, so we were able to maximize the 2 days we had to explore the park.
