RV campgrounds are full. Now what?

Carolyn and I recently visited Olympic National Park. However, while looking into campgrounds suitable for our 40ft. Class A RV, we found ourselves facing limited choices and no vacancy. Chances are high that you'll come across this challenge sooner or later. So what are some alternative options?

Let me introduce you to Hipcamp.

Hipcamp is a platform that connects people with unique camping and outdoor experiences. Similar to how Airbnb allows people to rent out their homes or rooms to travelers, Hipcamp allows landowners to offer their private land for camping. This can include everything from traditional campsites to more unconventional options like glamping setups, RV sites, or even just spaces for pitching tents.

Hipcamp's goal is to provide access to outdoor spaces that might not be available through traditional campgrounds or parks. It caters to individuals looking for more personalized and diverse camping experiences, often on private land with different amenities and settings.

We found the perfect spot just outside of Olympic National Park.

We enjoyed a week there, just minutes from Forks, La Push and Rialto Beach. We had private access to walk down to the lake and watch the mist hover over the water in the mornings. The host and her family were so nice. Had we not heard about Hipcamp, we would have had to pass through the area.

We use this app like it's an "airbnb" for rv spots. Great for unique spots especially when campgrounds aren't available. Use this link to get $10 towards your first hipcamp stay.
